Wow very cool Neil. I've been reading about these guitar midi interface units for years but never really seen anybody use them much. Does the midi pitch control work through the actual string bending? So theoretically you could play a sampled sax sound and still get the pitch bend control?

That’s really cool man. Honored that our machine played a part in it.

Yes this unit which is also in the Bryan Moore guitar supports string bending - among many other control parameters. It also sports an almost undetectable delay in the pitch to midi conversion - which was the problem with the early guitar synths. It depends on the patch and module your using - for example you can rarely find a piano patch that will let you bend. But sax and many other instruments will let you bend - which is essentially a virtual pitch wheel control. It's really a fun gadget. It can also be used for recording with many of the new high end VSTs in programs like Cubase and Protools. It will drive everything from alto sax to xylophone. What's fun for guitarists is being able to use quality nylon string guitar, banjo, violin or bass patches - which lend themselves well to the layout of the guitar.
