I have my VFD/spindle about setup the way I want on my test bench. I'm looking for the Carve King setup GRBL hex code file with the spindle control enabled. I thought there was a version already with the CK numbers in it rather than load the generic file from the GRBL master file. I'm lazy and don't want to do something that might already be done. ;-)
thanks.

Looking for the compiled GRBL file for CK with homing and laser. Searched but haven't seen it posted yet. I had to place the electronics after moving the machine across the country. Thanks.

Ok - I got this hex file to install (I have ordered a 3d party laser). I have switched the Z homing switch cable to the new position. The Z homing no longer works. When try to home the machine it errors on the Z axis. Does the laser actually have to be wired in for this to work?

Make sure the GRBL laser mode is Enabled. Check the $32 Grbl setting.
To Enable: Send Grbl a $32=1 command. To Disable: Send Grbl a $32=0 command.

Thanks Bruce I'll give tht a try in the morning. Yes I moved it to the Sp En jumper. Anther question n that point - If laser mode is enabled does that stop the Z Axis movement if I'm using the router?

Almost to the finish line. Machine setup is complete. I made my dust boot and I got the Z probe wired in today as well as my after market laser mount made and installed and wiring done. Now I just have to finish building it's home in my very small shop. I should have everything wrapped up tomorrow. I am building an enclosure for the machine that I can cover the front while using the laser and exhaust the smoke that the laser might produce right outside instead of filling the garage. Bought a cheap bathroom exhaust fan as well as a piece f acrylic laser shield window to finish the front. I'll post pics when everything is done.
