I have the Jtech laser on my M3 so my Z homing switch is plugged into the SPN EN pins. I have two issues and I think they may be related. First my Z homing switch stopped working. To test the switch I plugged it into the X+ pins and saw it was triggering in the consoles verbose mode. This eliminated a bad Z home switch. For haha's I then the plugged the X homing switch into the SPN EN pins with no reaction in the console's verbose mode. My second issue is the laser is no longer triggering. Any ideas as to what may be wrong? Thanks

Let’s see what i can do to help. Have you made any setting changes lately? Can you type $$ in the command line and press enter and post up what you get?

Thanks. Here are the GRBL settings. The only one I changed when I assembled the M3 in December was $30. It's worked fine since then. I was thinking I might have cause some static when I cleaned the saw dust from the boards a few days ago. >>> $$ $0=10 $1=255 $2=0 $3=0 $4=0 $5=0 $6=0 $10=1 $11=0.010 $12=0.002 $13=0 $20=0 $21=0 $22=1 $23=0 $24=25.000 $25=1000.000 $26=44 $27=4.000 $30=255 $31=0 $32=1 $100=40.000 $101=40.000 $102=80.000 $110=8000.000 $111=8000.000 $112=3000.000 $120=250.000 $121=250.000 $122=250.000 $130=264.000 $131=264.000 $132=69.000 ok

The Z+ is the PWM control signal for the laser. If you connect a voltmeter between the inside and outside pins of the Z+ and then turn on the laser intensity, you should measure a voltage of 5Vdc at max intensity. It should decrease to 0 as you turn down the intensity.

Another satisfied CNC Nerd! Derek, you and your crew (if there is one) really have some good customer service.

Thank Patrick. There is a crew. I get the "credit" (and sometimes the scorn, lol), but there are 5 or 6 other folks in the background helping make it happen.
