Using Aspire I did my first 3D carve. Note this is not for sale as I know BSA trademarks are very strict. I am applying for a licensing agreement for my local Council but I made this for my son who got his Eagle Scout in October of last year. Still have a lot to learn still have a few areas I need to touch up and sand out a few of the letters but overall very pleased with the way the machine handle this.

What milling strategy did you use for this?

I am working on something and I like using adaptive for everything I can and then come back in to do final contours. Some people like parallel and contours to do the same thing though. I was wondering what toolpaths you chose to create this sign.

I believe gemmi8 is using Vectric Aspire to create toolpaths, which uses different terms that F360. I'm not at that computer right now, but as I recall in Aspire you have a choice of raster or offset patterns for finish toolpaths. One method moves the cutter back and forth across the workpiece and the other moves in a circular pattern. Maybe gemmi8 can tell you which of those was used.
