I'm always developing and designing stuff so figured I'd show what I'm currently working on and done. This one is a light switch extension so my son can reach the light switches in his bathroom. I made a spiderman one as well that I think I posted here months ago. This one was done in black acrylic that I painted white before milling. These are some clamps I'm working on. I have a .5 inch aluminum plate waiting these will be milled from but I have to design a fixturing solution to hold them on edge for the slot. Then there's the dustshoe V3 I'm working on and should be milling by the end of the week but can't share that because of the looming contest. lol.

Looks good man. Thanks for posting. I'm sure your little guy loves the switch plates. The contrast looks good on them.
Really looking forward to seeing the clamps done.

That is some great work. I am sure that switch plate is a big hit with your son and those clamps are going to be a big hit here.

Wish I had more to share but wanna get my dust collection nailed down before I get anything else done. HDPE should be in today so hopefully, I can get it milled out before I had to work tonight.
My son does enjoy being abe to turn the lights on by himself and I like not having to stop what I'm doing every time he wants to go to the bathroom lol.
The clamps should work in theory. I have clamps I made years ago that work on the same design that I use on my work bench. It's better than using riser blocks and flat clamps IMO. I also designed these particular ones to work as a cam clamp when laid down sideways. We'll see if that works in reality.

I won't ask about the dust shoe for reasons you already mentioned, but do you have any further information about the setup you use to mill aluminium? J

Man that is some awesome stuff already. I haven't had one successful mill yet ( all because of me ). But thanks for the inspiration. It cool to see what this thing can do once with a some practice and perseverance.
