So during my cut the path shifts about .25" to the left. I tried cutting two big stars for the Texas Flag and now it looks like there are 2 stars overlapping each other about .25"-.5" apart. Any ideas my it is shifting so much during the cut? Thank y'all! I tried taking a picture of it on my phone but it says it’s too big...really?

I thought there was only one star in the Texas flag? Did you have the workpiece close to the edge of the work area? Sometimes I get too close (in the back usually) and I hit the end of the rails and lose steps and throws the position off.

I had the router as far down it go in the Y axis but it was cutting in the middle of the work space on the machine. Maybe that had something to do with it the Y axis? Thanks for responding!

I've had two instances where that kind of thing happened. The first was when the material slipped because my workholding clamps weren't tight enough. The second was when the screw holding the lead screw to one of the y-axis steppers was a bit loose.

Has anyone attached a SUCKIT DUST BOOT to a DWP611 on a carve king?

Make sure the threaded rods are fully seated in the connector to the stepper motors. Make sure to loosen the opposition end so you have enough movement to seat it. This solved the problem for me.

Thank you, ya I had about 4 screws that were loose on the rails and that fixed it!
