You could also get the standard MDF bed and cut a slot along the front end to facilitate milling the end of a board.

I was about to ask the same question. This is awesome. Doing dovetails and joints in general should be a breeze then. I was going to ask if you could remove the first aluminum panel for this purpose.

For dovetails, check out tailmaker.net. I have no connection with the site, but it seemed intriguing. Has anyone here used it?

Here's a video making box joints from a single piece of wood.

Hi Everyone! I just ordered the Mega V as an upgrade to a tiny Chinese piece of garbage. I’m very excited to get a machine that will be able to make what I want to make and not be held back by my equipment. Does anyone know if the touch plate will be included with preorders that are from after the Kickstarter campaign or will I be able to order one from Mill Right I didn’t see it in the online store when I place my order.

Those freebies were just part of the kickstarter special. We're not listing the touch probe on the website until we finish producing all of them. We will make that available later though.
Thanks for the order by the way.

Are there any scale drawings or models of the 35" Mega V available? I've ordered mine, but want to start planning a table and enclosure, and a more detailed model (beyond the footprint) would be really helpful.

Would also love some scale drawing to start planning my table and enclosure!

Hey Derek (or anyone who might know),
What is the fully extended height of the mega Z axis? I’m designing a cabinet and i don't want to make it too short or worse obscenely tall lol.
Thanks, Kev

If you make it 21 inches you will be good. Which model do you have coming and what X and Y dimensions are you making it?

I ordered the 19x19 regrettably. Every day I wish more and more I had gone with the larger one. However space is very limited. While I have you. What are you thoughts about the stand being on heavy duty locking casters? I will lilelys be playing Tetris around my shop to be productive. That is assuming the table top, spoil board are all parallel. Would the acceleration have any effect on it is my concern.

As far as the sides are planned the specs are via your earlier postings. I plan on the electronics box on a shelf next to it with my Raspberry Pi running UGS and monitor. With easy access to the front and back for oversized work.
