Looks good, but I have a bunch of questions. What software did you use for the tool paths? Did you use a V-bit for the checkering? Did you start with a 3D model that had the checkering modeled into it, or did you use a texture of some sort to carve the checkering. Since it's on a curved surface, that would be tricky.

I'm in for the details too.
Did you design the entire grip from the ground up or start with a (downloaded) CAD file and add details?
This is one of my future projects (once I actually get my Mega V and learn how to use it). :-)
