Great work Neil. Love the natural finish of the maple neck that offsets the walnut body top. I've never heard of Meranti wood before. Interesting wood grain.

Thanks Bruce, The guitar weighs about 6lbs. The Meranti or Philippine mahogany is very light - they use it to make lauan ply wood. It's also a bugger to finish as it is very porous. This guitar called the "Ione" (eye-own) is named after my wife and is my design - although it is inspired by several Fender guitars. Thanks for taking a look. The body is Meranti, the top Walnut, the neck is birds eye/ curly maple. The body and neck are done with the PR and the top with the CK.
