I'm in the process of traming my power route and I see that the table is not flat from panel to panel. It's off by about 1mm on both front and back. I measured on the x axis using a square flat on one panel and measuring the gap on the other at the nonadjacent edge.
I'm thinking about shiming the three panels to correct this. Are there any other alternatives or should I just clamp a spoilboard on and then flatten using a surface bit?

You can get it closer. We get the Power Route XL tables to within a half millimeter throughout the table. It's a matter of how it's attaching to the crossmembers and if things like the brackets are mounted in a way that keeps it from letting it sit flush. You might want to just surface a spoil board though. It may not be worth chasing.
