I have an M3 that has never actually completed any G-code for greater than 5 minutes without freezing somewhere in the middle of the processes. I have tried different computers (three), different operating systems (linux and windows), different G-code senders, different USB cables (shielded and un-shielded), shielding ALL cables, shielding the entire Arduino and CNC shield in a grounded enclosure and separating the entire M3 in an enclosure away from the controller, ensuring that the Arduino and CNC shield isn't overheating, different GRBL firmware revisions, different power supplies...
The only thing I haven't changed is the actual Arduino or CNC hat. I see a lot of copies of the CNC hat on Amazon from random Chinese sellers; but at this point I'm fine upgrading something a little nicer than the Arduino + CNC hat.
Has anyone upgraded the stepper motor controller on your CNC and what did you use? Thanks.

How long have you had your M3?

Yes, let us know how long you had it and if it's still under warranty we could get you another board.
