This may be covered elsewhere but if so I have not found it!
How long has it taken you to fully assemble a Carve King from out of the box until "done"?

Well it depends on your mechanical ability to a major extent. I ordered the plain MDF and painted it which took several days. And then I took my time working on it a little bit everyday, it took me about a week to put it all together and get it working. So for me a total of about two or three weeks. Some guys get the starboard, you don't have to paint, and then work all night and get it done in a weekend.

Thanks Bruce
Curious why you opted to paint the MDF? The starboard is a different material I believe.
I understand you took a few hours at a time over a few weeks, but how many estimated "work hours" was it from after you did your board painting until the until was fully assembled?
FYI -- I am quite handy and mechanical.
Thx

I knew you were going to ask me that. lol Total man hours worked...that's a good question... I would say without painting...assembly time would be around 10-12 hours. Final setup and test maybe another 3-4 hours. Once you get it assembled you begin a new mode of tweaks and adjustments that depending on the accuracy you're after will take some time to work out. Especially if you're going to tram the router and level a spoil board. BTW, When I bought my Carve King the Starboard option was not available yet. I painted it because I thought it would be better painted then unpainted I suppose.
