I used to be friendly with Les Paul and his son Rusty. Went to his house a couple times and he showed me all his equipment and studios. I would call him at home and tell him we are coming to into the city to see him, he would save us a front table at Fat Tuesdays. Met allot of musicians because of him. His old partner Lou Pallo still plays locally every Sunday. Rusty died 2 yrs ago, went to his funeral and it was rotating bands all day, Left around 5pm and just missed Steve Miller. I don't play guitar, but like a good Pollack I have 4 accordians. He was an amazing man!!!!! Invented the solid body guitar , of course, possibly stereo, all your sound effects boxes, multi track recording ..., and before he died he was working on a better hearing aid that had more bass. Sorry off topic, but I see a few guys here making guitars and just thought I'd chime in.

Here two finished recently - The bodies and necks made entirely with the Power Route and the control covers with the Carve King. The guitar on the bottom is made of "roasted" woods (alder and maple) and the top guitar out of natural alder and maple. . . . Great work as usual Neil. Love the blue sparkle finish.

To say Les Paul had an effect on modern music is an understatement. Count yourself lucky to rub elbows with him. Thanks for the post.

As usual, it is such a pleasure seeing your work. I can only strum a few basic chords, but if I ever get serious about playing I have to give you a call about getting one of yours. Unfortunately I am about as musically untalented as you can be so I'll likely never outgrow the one I strum once a blue moon, but I still wanna be a rock star!
Interesting story JMS.

Bruce, no Mahwah, NJ. where he lived with Mary Ford. and yes, everything done with music and film is a result of Les.
