M3 is homing correctly. Stock is 8x10x1 hickory. The cutter is in the lower left corner. Set cutter just above wood as per instructions. Used command G92 X0 Y0 Z0, then Command G90 G0 Z5. Loaded the Millright CNC Name engrave file, hit SEND. The M3 is moving and motioning the pattern, but not touching the stock?
That's one issue. The other is how do I know how fast the spindle in spinning? I just have a dial with no RPM guide. Not seeing a readout in UGCS.

There won't be a readout for rpm in ugs, you just have to know what your dial represents. I do g90 g0 z.2 not sure if that would make a difference though.

In UGCS there is no need to issue the G-code commands. This assumes the origin of your workpiece is the lower left corner in your design software.... 1. After you home, move the machine to the lower left corner of your work piece. Click the "Reset X" and "Reset Y" buttons in UGCS. 2. Lower Z until it just touches the workpiece. You can use a piece of paper. Click the "Reset Z" button. You should be set to go.
