Attachment DeletedHey all, Loving my M3 so far. Starting my first 3d project (the 1/3 scale carve-top guitar pictured above), which I've modeled in Autodesk Fusion 360. Are there any guides specific to using Fusion 360 to do 3d CAM work on the 2.5d Millright M3? Or any other recommendations? I've done a number of 2d projects on the M3, but this is my first attempt at 3d (and at Fusion 360 for that matter). Thanks.

It's not as complicated as one would think. Obviously you'll be working with 3D operations tab. I think I did a couple examples in the forums. I'll do a full how-to tomorrow since I'm off and can't do any machining anyway lol.

Video is exporting now. Getting kiddo to bed then I'll upload to my YouTube and post up a link. It's a long one but should be all you need to get going.

Wow, this is fantastic, hugely helpful. Thanks for taking the time. I'll post the project video here when I'm done carve.

Would you mind sharing how you did the arch top?

Sweet. Nice work on tweaking it to fit. I, like aforww, and surprised by the number of Z lifts in the tool paths. I wonder why Fusion is doing that.

It looks like it's doing a contour for every change in elevation. We can definitely clean that up and shave probably an hour or more of the machine time.
