Something like MakerCAM is easier. Why don't you share the f3d file so we could have a look. There's also the Autodesk forum where the fusion 360 programmers and tech support are there too. It's probably something simple though that is just something with some one with more experience can spot. Fusion 360 is extremely powerful. In my opinion, abandoning it early on will handicap your capabilities later. I have put the file in my Google Drive and here is the link. it would be great to know what i am doing wrong so i can understand so if you have time to look at it that would be awesome. thanks again for all your help. drive.google.com/file/d/0B_hA8OXFh4endWt3Y2o5TTdhLXM/view?usp=sharingCan you recommend an inexpensive V Bit. i dont want to speed a lot of money on something that i might break while learning. after i understand more i can invest in better quality bits?

I wonder if it's that M6 or M9 Those are tool changes and coolant commands respectively. It's it's throwing the error immediately it might be. I don't recall if either show up in any of my code. I'm still learning to read Gcode so not super proficient at finding errors in it. Take M6 and m9 out and see what happens.

LOL The coolant option is a drop down when you select your tool for an operation. Look under the tool and you should see "coolant" if I remember correctly. I can't recall off the top of my head if automatic tool change is set in the tool library or elsewhere.

It's going to probably write an M9 (coolant off) even if you select for coolant to be off. The Error 20 is probably getting thrown by Universal G Code sender and it should be asking you if you want to ignore it in the future. If you tell it yes it should rock and roll right past there.

Which version of UGS are you using? I'd switch the the stable build if you aren't already. If you are on it, I'd try to re-download it. If that still doesn't work, I'd switch to Classic (or to platform if you are already using classic).

I agree something is amiss. You shouldn't be getting all these errors. At this point, if reflash GRBL, download and use the latest stable (not nightly) version of UGS and make sure Java is up to date.
