Not bad for making it up real quick and just hitting go. I need to adjust the geometry on my Vbit. It wasn't cutting as deep as it's supposed to on the chamfer. This project is definitely not for wood. I had to finish it with thin CA glue, letting it soak in to give it some strength. If I make any more of these, I'll use vacuum stabilized blanks.

Now you just need to join me in the "No Shave, Not Ever" club and you can use it year round!

I've never managed to convince my producer to let me keep the long hair and beard when I play Buddy Holly. I keep trying to get him to do an Arlo Guthrie show...

I work in med device design in an office environment and occasionally in the clean room. I will just keep on growing it until my boss says, 'Isn't time to clean that up a bit?'

That came out very sweet Afor. Good job.
I mustache you a question ... how do you hold the part during the last cuts? Did you have tabs around the outside? And you milled both sides?

Jerry I used double sided tape. I put screws in at first while I was hogging out a bunch of material but after that it was all the tape doing the work. And no I only milled one side.

After my brush, my son (4) wanted his own. Wood would never last him past 5 minutes and the only thing I had close to .125" thick was black acrylic. Figured why not. Gave me a chance to try some things. PearlFX true blue powder with CA glue for the text. Also gave me a chance to see how a Polish after milling would look if I only took it to 800 grit wet followed with some plastic polish. Not too bad. He'll probably break this one within 48hrs so in the next I'll be armed with the mistakes on this one. This one is thinner on the comb end. Think it's a much better comb now anyway lol. Would never work in wood though. Not without some perfect grain orientation and very gentle handling.
