Very nice two sided relief carving! What software are you using?

I used vectric vcarve for this. I am doing a manual 4 sided job for the next sword. (It's cutting now actually) I am filming the entire process as well. From first opening the software to the final cut. Should be a good resource to point people to if the vectric tutorial isn't doing it for them and I cover setting up my zeros in UGS as well. I figured out a few things that I think make it faster and turn out better than their standard way.
Thanks everyone for your support! I wouldn't be able to do this stuff if it wasn't for people like you showing me the way.

More Progress. Once I design the base my part will be done and it's off to the painter. Attachment DeletedAttachment DeletedThis thing was so hard to cut. (A "nightmare" lol) It kept breaking because there was a knot with a crack right in the middle of the wood where I couldn't see it. Of course that means the cracks and knots end up right in the middle of the most fragile part. Superglue and activator saved my hide because it was too awkwardly shaped to clamp.

That is a pretty complex job. Very good work there.

Base finished. I had to use fusion 360 to do the cuts for the swords in the base due to vcarve desktop's annoying one stl per project limit.
