Post your GRBL settings. Type $$ in the console and copy/paste the list here.

Hey bruce, I finally had a chance to triple check and cross of all the other advise. I might be a little confused on the verbose option. It moves so fast to verify. Maybe I'm not understanding. Any way.... When I short the e stop, and abort at the schield they stop and throw a code on in the command tabel. They Definitely work. Help to understand the verbose method. PLEASE..... THANKS BRUCE YOU AND DEREK ARE TRULY A GURU:)

Go to the Setup Wizard in UGS and look for the Limit switch setup. Check if each switch is triggered by the display indication.

Hey everybody, I have issues with the homing switches working at the electronics shield. I took a meter and checked the continuity of the switches them selves they definitely work. Next pluded in the provided plastic terminal with the black and red orientated correctly and touched them together to act as the switch would... no responce/didnt do anything. At one point I did have the x+ switch stop the gantry upon homing cycle but not the others. Now it wont work. What causes this? Hello, I have Never even seen a CNC in person, but purchased the Mega V with all options to add to our woodworking business. The build was done in 6 hours, but It's taken about 3 days and I am still not ready to carve because I cannot find solid instructions on what to do once it's built. I completed my build and solicited the help of members of MillRight Mega V group on FB to help with software setup and startup. Derek answered my E-mail about not receiving my laser and he asked me to send the details of settings in UGS ($$). I have been going through the setup wizard of UGS (4th axis version), but it locks up during one of the steps nearly every time. I am literally guessing with each try because I cannot find any documentation that matches what I see on my screen. I printed the 8 page doc that says it for first time startup, but it does not indicate how to calibrate, or set limits. I thought I figured out the homing switch setup, and 2 of the 3 homing switches are operating fine. My X axis switch is not. Sometimes, the jog function works so I can manipulate manually now.
I figured out how to take a .jpg file, convert it to Gcode file in Inkscape and MakerCam. I also downloaded the MillRight CNC file to test my build. I used a sharpie. Couldn't get the Z to put pen to cardboard, so I paused the job and dropped the whole router to the page. Then the whole thing drew the letters backwards. Please help. My pics are too big to attach.

Thanks Bruce, You would suggest vcarve or cut2d over fusion 360? Also, the data from $$ command in UGS has changed over the days I have been trying to troubleshoot. i.e. when I sent my data to Derek on day 1, $3=7. It now reads $3=0. The response from support said it should be $3=2. It was suggested that $3=2 would fix my homing and mirroring issue. Another user stated that the plugs into the controller for Y Right and Y Left were backwards on the installation video for Mega V. He had the mirroring issue and swapping the plugs fixed his issue. I also read that 2 other users who were using the 4axis version of UGS had similar issues to mine. They downloaded the old version of UGS from the resource section of this page and had success. They just cannot use their 4th axis. Suggestions?

$3 – Direction port invert, mask. This setting can invert the direction signal for each XYZ axis . By default, Grbl assumes that the axes move in a positive direction when the direction pin signal is low, and a negative direction when the pin is high. The default $3= 0 with no axis direction inverting. The default I show for Mega V 3 axis machine is $3=0
The fourth axis is an all new option which I don't know anything about. You will have to check with Derek again on that.
Software: What type of work were you looking to do with your Mega V machine? V-Carving, Inlays, 3D Bas Relief Carving, or something else?

It is currently such that $3=2. What is your issue with the 4th? Using our UGS version I'm able to work it with different computers.
