How are we supposed to mount the laser to the Mega V? I received a 3D printed bracket with magnets in it that will hold the laser, but I don't have anything that will attach the 3D printed bracket to the aluminum router mount. Pretty disappointed considering this was a $700 upgrade and the promo videos on Kickstarter showed the router mount having 2 drilled and tapped holes. Pics below of what I received. Same issue. I just assumed I wasn't smart enough to figure out how it was designed to fit. I never considered it had a missing piece or absentee holes. To affix mine, I drilled and countersunk a hole in the plastic mounting plate to fit the clamping screw from the dust shoe. Once tightend down, it holds the shoe bracket and the magnetic mount of to the side. Then I just ran the cables as normal. I can pull the laser module off relatively simply by just unhooking the two wires. Just using the magnets it stays in place pretty snug. With only one attachment point, the mount may be a bit wobbly. Time will tell.

I'll post a pic from the office tomorrow. We're going through one of the holes in the mag base laser mount to the pinch bolt in the router mount.

Derek, don't worry about posting a picture. I ended up taking a piece of 3/16" steel and making a mount that screws to the dust boot mount and the laser mount screws to the steel plate. I was worried about the rigidity of using only the 3D printed mount and I didn't want to use the pinch screw on the router mount because of the possibility of re-tramming. Hope that makes sense.

Here's what we recommend though: Attachment DeletedWe put it in through the pinch bolt hole.
