I changed my settings to match what is in the PDF for the Carve King. Still no torque on motors.
Stepper drivers have the proper voltage. Everything else seems right but I'm not getting the motors to come on. Is there a way to check if the motors are bad? Not sure if it's realistic to lose all 4 motors at the same time.
Where or how are you measuring the voltage on the motors? There is only one place 24vdc should be connected. The blue screw terminals on the CNC Shield.

I didn’t buy new stepper drivers so I used to old ones. Today I tried a spare I found.
So to recap: New arduino—flashed with grbl New cnc shield Old stepper drivers 1 spare stepper driver tried on the z position to no avail.
I have not mixed new and old parts other than stepper drivers. So the original arduino and cnc shield were used together and now the new. I haven’t mixed them.
When I start UGS, it shows an alarm. That didn't happen before. I hit unlock and it lets me try and move the machine but still no response from motors.
