I ordered an M3 kit three years ago (May 12, 2017), planning to immediately assemble and start playing. Well one thing let to another and a few extended overseas trips kept me busy. Now I have retried from the Army and have found a little bit of time. I just completed my assembly and found that one of my stepper motors (z) is not responding at all, and does not heat up as do the others. My X and Y axis respond perfectly when instructed. Anything I can try before ordering a replacement motor? Any NEMA 17 motor will work, but are there any suppliers or amazon shippers to avoid? Thanks in advance.

Just to verify it's the motor did you try to plug it into the x or y plug on the board and see if it responds?

Just to verify it's the motor did you try to plug it into the x or y plug on the board and see if it responds? Agree with doing this first as even though less likely than a bad motor, a bad arduino interface shield, a bad arduino pin, or even a bad wire from the internal side of the airplane connector to the arduino shield would cause the same issue.
