Hi. Long time lurker, first time messanger. Built my carve king. Cannot get it to jog. Motors do not hum, twitch, resist manual turn, sneeze, or raise an eyebrow. On UGS screen, spindle behaves, but machine will not stir in the lightest. Wires are oriented as I've seen them shown from several sources online and the millright instruction manual. Settings in UGS correspond to instruction manual. (Full disclosure, carve king TOOK A BEATING in delivery. No lie, took pics. I'd wrote to support@mail weeks back but went ahead and built cuz... C'mon. The stepper motors were scratched up some but nothing that would worry you, really. However, the cnc shield is more dinged up than I guess I cared to admit to myself initially. It's got a crack and some of the busses(?) are knocked sideways a little.) Is there an on switch I'm missing somewhere?
Pardon the levity, I am earnestly seeking help. Thanks

Are you able to connect to the arduino control? Does it show up in Device Manager when it is plugged into the PC? If there is a crack in the CNC Shield board then it is probably defective.

Checked cnc shield with multimeter and it is kaputz. Receiving replacement shield from Amazon today and will have to "flash" it or do "something" to it to get it caught up. In which case I will be "learning" how to do that today. Any tips??

All the programming is in the Arduino. If you are just replacing the CNC shield then there is nothing to "flash".

Way ahead of you. But thanks. There's plenty to do tho. I got it on my own.
