Hey are there any links to guidance on mounting the Dewalt router to Carve King? I’m not seeing it mentioned in the assembly manual?
Or, any tips?
I realize it seems obvious enough how it goes, but I don’t want to assume anything, for example what’s the proper depth as the router sits in the holder?
Thank you in advance for any input!
Best,
Vic

Great question and I had the same question and made a few bad assumptions. My Dewalt router is now mounted almost all the way down in the bracket. If you are using bits that have the plastic ring stops, the only way to cut all the way through your stock to the spoil board is to have the router mounted deep in the holder. So at least for me, I have it mounted so a short bit will go into the spoil board before the Z axis bottoms out. This will give you most clearance while still being able to cut all the way through stock.
I also mounted the bracket with the two outside holes and not the two centered holes. In my head, this would be the strongest against torque keeping the motor plumb.
