How do I change the feed rate for rapid moves. It's way too fast and the whole machine jerks whenever it starts and stops

You can do it in the controller settings, if I recall correctly (pandemic = not much machine time for me), but you can also do it via post-processor for whatever you're using for CAM; set the G0 rate to be something more rational. I use Fusion360 most of the time, and use a modified version of their grbl postprocessor to futz with G0 so that I cannot accidentally forget.
