Hey Everyone!
I'm literally losing my mind here with this issue. Jtech sent me over a test file for the 14w laser and noticed that the text in Bi-directional is ghosting. It's roughly 0.60 - 0.70mm of separation.
I've adjusted this machine for the past few days, and I mean full days! Nothing seems to change this issue.
I'm guessing this has to be the X axis, as the Y axis for the most part is good. I've re-adjusted the rails, the wheels, the motors. I've tried loose, then tight and there isn't change which leads me to believe this is the issue. I've also tried with the ability to move the wheels with a bit of finger force.
I've done the test to see if I'm losing steps. Home the machine, then zero the X, Y... then move the machine around 20 plus time, and then followed by return to home. It ends up to the mm in the exact starting position.
Everything is level, I was able to router circles, squares etc..and they all seem to pretty decent.
The smaller the laser text the more noticeable the ghosting is. However, without Bi-directional usability, laser is almost pointless unless cutting.
Anyone have any idea?
The one thing I will try next is the offset in Lightburn. I really didn't want to resort to this, as I want this to work out of the box without software intervention.
