Is anyone on this board running a laser in their CNC? If so is there a kit you recommend?

So let's just say for curiosity sake if I knew somebody in Calgary that would be interested not saying its me and might not be for few weeks yet as this person might have to be nice to the other half first. But let's just say this person was interested how much would delivery be for him.

It's not a heavy package, but they like to get some money when they take something across a border.

How would one go about purchasing this laser kit? I can send you an invoice for it if you would like since I don't have them on the site yet.

does the laser get off-set mounted next to the spindle or router so you can choose what you want to run (laser or router/spindle)? - now that would be convenient!

Assuming it's no different than the previous iteration, then yes. hmmm. going to have to see what this laser can do since I am only interested in using it to cut plastic shapes (name badges and such) and maybe laser engraving some wood and plastic name badges and acrylic awards. Not sure it is powerful enough

I have one I got from Derek a while back. Not sure if it's the same one he is selling now or not? Assuming it's the same or similar, mine is mounted in the front left slot of the router mount. Held in place by the screw that doesn't appear to do anything else. The laser works well for burning wood, haven't tried it with any other material though.. Was fixin' on taking a photo of how mine's mounted but accidentally hit the software update on my phone so it's currently doing that :/ Attachments:
