Hello All ,
Bob here from Fla. I have no cnc experience but I guess I going to start learning ... FedEx says my carve king will be here tomorrow . It is just going to start as a hobby and I'm not sure what I signed up for, but having been looking over the forum and website I feel like I'm in good hands . So please forgive me in advance if I ask too many questions . I looked at many other machines but what sold me on the MillRight was the information I have already got by just reading your comments and suggestions on the forum. And the quick phone call I received after inquiring about the machine . Thanks again

Where I'm at, the weekend has been 1C so the snow has been melting. 2-3 weeks back we got hit with some bad ass cold weather reaching -40C and just over a foot of snow. It's been a roller coaster.

Hi Everybody, my name is Rick. I just retired from the Philadelphia area to the western mountains of NC. I now live in a log home, all wood. My career spanned 40 years of electronic assembly materials. I considered CAD and graphic arts my "industrial hobbies" inserting my creativity into work whenever I could. Although new to CNC, I have programmed X,Y,Z machines and understand absolute and relative moves, so this should be fun. My goal is to have a small retirement business routing 3D scenes in hardwoods. These I hope I can sell to homeowners, art loving public and possibly the local builders as plaques for their new customers. I ordered my Power Rout about a week ago, received my dust collector system and just finished a sturdy bench for the new machine. So this adventure will be a marriage of my two favorite things, CAD and woodworking. This forum looks awesome and Derek has been extremely responsive.

Hi Rick, With your background I'm guessing CNC is going to be second nature for you, and I think the mountains of Western NC will give you plenty of inspiration for your new business. Good luck and welcome to the forum.

I'm Josh. I make stuff, and work with cars everyday. I haven't bought or build a cnc yet, but I'm in final info gather mode before purchase. Been watching from the sidelines and finally ready to turn the key.A few more variables, and I'm on my way. -Josh

It sounds like you’re getting a good jump on things which will pay dividends when you get the machine together. See you around.

Hi Guys, My name is Eric. I'm from Michigan. I just recently got a m3 CNC from my uncle who didn't have time to learn the in and outs of the programming. So me being a computer guy I said what the heck and decided to try it out. I have been an avid wood worker for awhile and been doing small projects for the wife, lots of pallet wood projects. So I been looking into getting a cnc for some time so the time is now. So i will be here reading lot and lots, and posting projects and failures to learn all I can. SO thanks in advance for all your help..
