Here is a user mod I did to stiffen the extrusions. I didn't or don't know if this is needed or if the motors stall out before the extrusions flex anyway. So it's a test really. Initial impression is that it is cutting aluminum better.

The 2nd picture shows the 6 Y extrusion braces. Also the X bracing can be seen in the back. The 3rd picture shows the X extrusions tied together with 1 brace looking across the back of the mill.

Awesome ideas! So far I've added a couple 3/8" AL rear brackets, one on each end. They're pretty thin and since they aren't in the center I think I need to add a beefier one in the center of the rails with the standoffs. What exactly did you use for the Y extrusion braces, specifically the middle portion with the slot. Was that something you made or something that I could get at a store/online?

I cut those out. They are .125 alum. I had square tubing there but it was not low profile enough to clear the table movements. More of the same t slot nuts are used that came with the kit.
