Hello Forum,
I am ready for my first mill, but need to make sure I have the correct default settings in UGSplatform. That reminds me... I noticed that the UI of UGSplatform appears to me anyway, to be different from what is depicted in the Quick Start Guide. For example, I could not locate the setting for where you set the number to 70 lines or whatever it is. Is Version 2.0 nightly July 23rd, 2017 the correct chingadera to be using? Also, in the Quick Start Guide it referenced "homing the machine" if you had homing switches. ( I don't have them now, but may install real soon after what happened next) I saw that if you had the hs's, a command of $H would show up automatically. Not having them, I thought (first mistake) maybe I had to manually insert the $H command and the machine would do the homing for me, maybe by detecting increased amperage or some other electronic magic, whenever the axis(s) travelled to their limit. Found out quickly that was an incorrect assumption after manual initiating that command. Homing seems to be a whole different thing than where machine zero is located.
How do I set machine zero if its required and is there a CNC standard location on the work space that should be used???
Thank You,
DJ

That’s right. You just use G92 as described in that video to set your work zero.
