Where do you recommend buying bits from? I'm just starting out, only want to try small things until I get a little better with the whole making an image and making the svg file.
I have some Hard maple 1" think rough sawn to play with and acrylic pieces, and some Baltic birch plywood. I am using the little M3

Derek also has some general use flat and round type end mills.

Ive purchased from precisebits as mentioned above, and just ordered some micro milling bits from www.toolstoday.com/ they arrived in two days great service from both.

I just bought a pack of 10 30degree V carve bits from Amazon for $14. I figure go cheap until I know what I'm doing then buy the good bits. I also use the 1/4 round and flat from Millright, they have done me well so far! However these cheap bits have been awesome though...surprised, cut well and haven't broken. I will eventually buy the nice expensive ones but not ready for those yet, still too much to learn to risk that money!

Ok I am going to order some bits but the ones i want are in 1/8 " shank my router is 1/4" shank...can i buy a step down collet for my router. Sorry im new to this stuff lol
I should have googled it first i see rockler has one
