I'm working on preparing the 400w spindle to be mounted on my carve king's spindle mount, and I'm at the step where I affix the potentiometer knob to the potentiometer, for speed control. The expected parts were included as anticipated, as shown above. The spindle shaft is threaded at it's base, and then has a non-threaded portion that extends further from the base. However, the potentiometer knob that is included, does not have a long enough cavity to reach the threaded base on the spindle shaft. Unless I'm missing some trick, I don't think the knob provided can be forced to reach the threads on the spindle shaft. Ideas? I'm glad to get another knob, I'm sure they are inexpensive, but might need some advice on what size and threading are the right thing to get.

The threaded portion is typically used to mount the potentiometer to a thru hole and the knob is either press fit, or has a set screw to attach it to the potentiometer spindle.

I have the same issue, and the knob supplied is not press fit (too loose) and there is no set screw. Would be great if a working knob could be included in the future. I'll figure out a workaround.

Glue is a great idea. Thanks, Derek.
