Who did you find to weld you're stand together for you? Looks like you're on the right track.

Machine: Carve King

This is awesome. I'm a woodturner, too, and looking for ways to incorporate the two.
I wonder about the possibility of using a touch probe system with the Carve King to do "3D scanning" of solid items so we could do surface profile carving. Or maybe this is what you're already doing!

no, wont help me. i need make a photo, draw the shape and make it a vector object. then i can calculate toolpath on my shape,
a 3d handscanner would be good, but i won't spend more then 300$ for that

Really sweet, looks more robust than the stock bed. I've never done this, but really want to try it. youtu.be/ApBfHW7AhsM

I didn't know Estlcam had that feature. Thanks for posting that.

MotoMech, Are you using EstlCam? What is its claim to fame? I think I remember reading a post by VGcustomShop who makes the bad ass guitars saying he used estlcam. I checked it out and thought it looked feature rich for a reasonable price. So I purchased it a few months ago, but have only played around with the software. Haven't made anything with it yet. It will make cam programs and also has a sender option. Using the sender option may require reflashing your board and adding jumpers. Not sure what the exact process would be but looking into it. I use intellig-code to send my programs and really like it and it's reliability. But hoping to try out estlcam and the sender feature soon.
