can i mount and use any 3d scan touch probe with a carveking

I need to scan rounded objects with my CNC machine so i can have correct 3D Models to calculate the toolpaths.



max i need to scan 10x10" and 3" depths, most of the times i need to scan half of that size.



What's my best option for this task?

I don't think I have seen anything like this for a GRBL controller.
Autodesk has a photo to 3D software called ReCap but other than that I don't know anything about it.

I'm pretty sure the nextwaveautomation touch probe is specific to their machines. I looked those over a bit while I was deciding what to buy and everything I could find looked like it only plugged into their stuff, which appeared mostly proprietary.
