Folks. I started using UGCS 2.0 last night and keep getting the invalid G Code error 20. My work around is to delete g code lines G54. S3000 M3, T2 M6, and M9. I read somewhere that these are tool change codes and are problematic. The weird thing is that I didn't have this problem with the earlier version of UGCS. Any thoughts?

Well, looks like this is already covered in a very recent post--which I neglected to notice. Sorry about that.

What software are you using to generate the G-code? For the T2 M6 (or any T# M# line), you only have to remove the "M6". For the G54, most folks are changing this to G0 Z10 (if you are in metric, which you should be) to move straight up 10 mm from your zero in the beginning. The S3000 M3 shouldn't cause an error, even though we don't have RPM/rotation control (and if this is laser G-code, S3000 M3 turns the laser on at power 3000/12000, so it is vital code). A great reference is here: marlinfw.org/docs/gcode/G000-G001.html

Thanks TJ. That's very helpful. I'm using Universal GCode Platform (ver.2.0) (Nightly build) (October 7, 2018). Seems like its a tad more sensitive to these codes than the UGCS I was using previously--ver. 1.0.9.

You may know this already, but you can set up UGS 2.0 to ignore certain commands like the problematic tool change ones. Then you don't have to remember to edit the gcode file before running it.

Has anyone attached a SUCKIT DUST BOOT to a DWP611 on a carve king?

I ran into the same #20 error code when running the Fusion 360 code. I tried the exact drawing in VCarve and the file ran flawlessly. I'm going to try the Fusion work around.
