I having a problem with the X movement on my m3. I'm doing a 3/4" deep pocket at 1/16 intervals. The first couple of passes are perfect but the deeper it goes the shorter the X movement gets towards the home side of the machine. It was also doing it on a profile cut as well but on the profile the cut can also get longer. Pictures attached. Any idea why I got one good piece and now this problem is occurring? Found a solution, somewhat. I'm using Cut 2D desktop. Instead of outputting all toolpaths that use the same bit I did them individually. Seems to have solved the problem.

Not sure why it worked out like that but I'll take it. I'm really new to cnc and I have a lot to learn. I'm sure some day I'll know why. I'm getting good, accurate parts, though. Attachment DeletedAttachment Deleted

Big man black T shirt! Your videos helped immensely when I was putting my m3 together! Thank you! Those are pickup covers and the body for my bass bridge design. I build custom bass guitars and make a lot of my own parts. Until now I've made them with handheld router setups and a lot of hand work and sometimes to get things as accurate as I want I'd have to make a few to get one good one.

Cool, can you post some photos of them in a guitar? Glad my videos helped you!

Sure. This is the finished bridge in a different bass. My tail piece where the strings anchor has been redesigned but this is a good example of the bridge in action. It allows 4 ways of adjustment: the whole bridge can go up and down, the spacing between strings can be adjusted, the intonation can be adjusted and individual strings can be raised up and down.

Looks cool. There are a few luthiers in the forum so more pics of the completed instruments would be nice to see.
