I'm tying to do the first run and cut the MillRight CNC text. I put the router where I want it to start cutting on the board but it goes all the way to homing position which is top right and then starts to cut. Also when entering G90G0Z5 to raise the +Z 5 mm it raises about one inch and I have the G21 code set in mm, so the machine is cutting air and not wood. I did the paper thing where it can move under the cutting bit and let it drag a little and then did the G90 G0 Z5 but it shoots it up an inch or so in the +Z plane. The I push start and it goes all the way to the top right of the machine(homing position) and it lowers to cut in the -Z direction only a few mm and never makes it to the board. I have the board to be cut in the center of the machine and move the router where I want to start cutting but then it does what I have said above to homing when I push start.
Also on the visualizer when I push the +x direction(right) it shows the cut moving to the left and off the visualizer graph where the text of MillRight CNC is. When I push -x it goes to the left on the visualizer. But both x directions are moving in the right direction when I jog them. +x to the right and -x to the left. It just seems like something is backwards.

When you get the bit set to the position of the corner of your board using the paper you first need to set a G92 X0 Y0 Z0 to set the starting position. Once that is set you can then use G90 X0 Z5 to raise the bit above the workpiece. Then you can send the gcode.
