Got the PR to carve a couple of test pieces recently.
Installed the laser I bought with it. However, the laser didn't come with my order. It was sent to another customer and vice versa.
It was right after the fall hurricanes.
Maybe the board needs flashed???
I have everything wired up but when I run Univ. Gcode Sender I get a "No serial ports found" error and cannot connect.
I can see COM3 in my ports list, select it but it still throws that error.
If I refresh the Ports, COM3 disappears.
I'm not sure what to try next. The fixes I have read about, just confuse me more.
Thanks. Ray W.

Sounds like you need to reload the USB-Serial driver possibly. Make sure to review the laser setup guide that JoeBob linked.

The laser firmware for the Power Route is the same as the non-laser version.
As Bruce mentioned it's probably that your computer isn't recognizing the board. This forum section has a sticky that talks about loading them manually.

Updated drivers and it sees the COM3 port now. Connection successful. Thanks!
Now to get it to turn on. Power to the board lights up 1 green LED but not the 2nd. No laser light.

Jogged the router and the laser came on. Scared the crap out of me.
What command turns the bugger off?
