hey guys I'm looking to achieve a nice uniform surface finish on some acetal.
Is it safe to use a flycutter to achieve this finish? I'm only used to flycutting at much slower RPMs on industrial mills... not sure if 8000 RPM (lowest setting on the DW618) would do it...
Would a surfacing bit suffice? I have a whiteside surfacing bit I used for the wasteboard, but I'm not 100% convinced it will leave a finish like a flycutter would.
I've tried sanding / polishing the surface and I am lead to believe that that a machine finish is the best bet for acetal.
thanks!

What does this finish look like that you are trying to achieve?

I would try a surfacing bit on it personally.
