I was running a job with a vbit 60 degree and after a little while I was not happy with the results. I stopped the job, and wanted to return to zero, so I could update the tooling path with a vbit 90 degree from the same point of origin. After sending the stop and cancel job command, everything was locked. I had no available controls. I had to close UGS and reopen, which made me loose my Zero.
Any input on the bug that UGS will not cancel and let go of the job requiring the program to close and reopen.

your work zero should not be lost. Home the machine and tell it to return to zero.

Is it possible to cancel or do you have to disconnect?

You can pause and then stop the program. It is possible that you will lose position unless you have the g54 or other work coordinates set up, so the pause is for you to take a photo or record your present position incase position is lost. You can g92 x(position) y (position) z(position) before you move the machine after program stop to recover your location. If you have the g54 or other work coordinates set up, rehome the machine and return to zero. We have a video about homing and work coordinate position on the tutorial video link on the resources page of our website.
If you mean cancel in a different way, let me know.
