My z axis has begun stalling when I try to move it quickly. I disassembled it and could turn it by hand ok but it misses steps and hums loudly when I try to move it quickly. Slower moves work better. Can I get some troubleshooting help please?

If it's smooth when you turn the screw by hand, it makes me suspect the motor, driver, and/or wiring. Perhaps try it with the motor loose? Then try swapping the port on the control box with one of the others. Just try to isolate the various parts until you find the issue. If you haven't, try emailing or calling millright. They have been pretty helpful when I've had issues, but they don't seem to watch the forum as closely.

Agree with ttabbal, This sounds like a stepper driver or motor issue.
