Hello everyone,
I have finished putting together the Mega V XL and was getting ready to try and jog the machine around when I found that the PC is not talking with the controller. I get both Grbl has not finished booting and no firmwares found.
Things I have tested -Changing the USB cable -Different PC -Millright G code Sender & regular up to date UGS -Changing Com Port -Using both baud 115200 and 9600
I am still getting the same issue on both PC's and am not sure what else I should try.
If anyone has any tricks I would appreciate it.

Download the arduino ide, leave the controller power off, plug the usb cable in, run the arduino ide, it should connect to the controller and show you that the board is ok. you probably need to dig into ugs, and the setup function to see what is going on. for more info on the arduino ide, search arduino and my user there are screen shots and other info.

Thank you for the response,
I had taken a look at arduino IDE and it was not looking like any errors were being thrown but I really have no idea what to look for in that regard. I tried searching for arduino and your user name but was unable to find anything. You are very active I very likely looking it over. I may call Millright in the morning, how is their customer service?

I did find that the x limit switch gnd was not connected. I don't have a small screw driver on me at the moment so I will attach it later. I doubt that is causing the issues.

I picked up a new Mega 2560 and loaded grbl on it. Looks like it is working now. I had seen a post for the default settings for the Mega V XL but am having a hard time finding the thread again. Could someone point me in the right direction?
