UGS v2.0.18 seems to be the latest, published 2 weeks ago, with about 1,000 downloads already. I noticed in the change log that this version has a fix specific to detecting MillRight MegaV grbl version for the purpose of customizing the USB connection logic it appears. The previous version, 2.0.17, has a similar purpose fix targeting the Arduino mega2560 boards which MR uses.
On each download segment by version, there is a link to installation wiki.
I'm still using UGS v2.0.12. I've been burned a couple times in the past going to a new release only to discover that it had bug(s) that interfered with my CNC work. The connection/communication fixes mentioned above may entice me to try one or both of those versions soon. I have to attempt to connect 2 or 3 times before I get the affirmative connection responses in the console window, which are the grbl version and the $$ report.

So re. the bug fixes in UGS to improve USB connections as mentioned in the previous post... I wrote to the UGS developer to inquire why the grbl version tests/checks were being done to include the mfg customized version signature text, and to inform him that I had yet another unique signature text in my grbl controller and does this explain why I have to make 2 or 3 attempts to connect. Well, he said yes it does explain it, and he now saw a simplified grbl version pattern in all these signature text variations that he could use to customize his USB connection handshake, and lo and behold he fix it. I tried his nightly build of 2.0.18+ and it works great, first time every time. I'm not sure when this fix will hit a stable release, v2.0.19 I suspect.
btw- most of the change in the UGS version releases since v2.0.11 have been related to the new mini-CAD/drawing editor it has now, so if you're not using that feature (I don't), then going to a new release should be relatively safe it appears. Just don't abandon the release you had been using until you thoroughly vet a new release and are satisfied; the configurations of releases are kept separate, just unpack the release zip file in a new folder.
