Is there a range of feeds and speeds we should not go under or over. In my cambam trial program it has these set at 800mm or inches. Visioning the gantry flying off the machine...lol

Material, doc, width of cut, width of cutter, type of cutter, geometry, machine rigidity.... Sometimes G-wizard wants me to crawl, sometimes it wants me going at 120ipm.

Ya. The machine won't traverse faster than the limits in the controller (about 3500mm/min for a combined XY move). A lot of your feed rate will be determined by your chip load. Find a chip load chart on the web, then derate it by 50 % or more. (many of the charts are made for big industrial machines that can handle a big ol' chip load).
There's a concept called surface speed, but lets keep it simple for now by just saying to take the value from a chart and use this formula:
Feed rate = Chipload x RPM x # of Flutes
So let's say you wanted a .0025" chip load and wanted to spin the router at 20,000 rpm with a 2 flute end mill. .0025 x 20000 x 2 = 100 inches per minute, or 2540mm/minute.
Hope that helps.

Still haven't got the hang off this yet but generally run machine at 150" min and adjust speed off router to suit.
