I don't want you to have to wrestle with this. I want you to be able to proceed with the build and get to the fun. How many total do you feel need to be replaced?
Regards Derek

99% sure you need all new delrin blocks. Aren't the lead screws precision ground? Be careful threading them in and they should be loose!

Just searched for a solution after having the same problem and came across this post. Although my issue is with just one of the backlash nuts. All of the others went in somewhat easily. This one nut is easily threaded through either side but stops once it reaches the threads on the other side of the gap. What was the remedy to this issue?

This one nut is easily threaded through either side but stops once it reaches the threads on the other side of the gap. What was the remedy to this issue? I had the same issue with one block. What I did was closed the gap on the block a bit by squeezing with my hand and the screw went right in.

I am having the same problem. I had to disassemble part of the gantry to remove the Delrin nut (the square black object) to then attempt to insert the lead screw from both ends and both sides. Been at if for just about an hour and no luck on easily getting the Delrin nut (the square black object) easily through the lead screw. Anyone else have the same issue? If so, how did you resolve?

As fugops44 mentioned above, closed the gap on the block by squeezing by hand. The two sections should be parallel for the lead screw to enter easily.

Thanks for the reply. Gave it (fugops44's solution) a try and it didn't work. I was hoping it would, but it didn't. Does Derek sell this part individually? I think I might just need a new one.

Send an email to support@millrightcnc.com and tell them the problem with the anti-backlash nut.
