So, again, this is pretty simple stuff for the expert but figured I would share this as I am a newb working through the process flow to understand how to get stuff made: 1. Stained 1/4" stock Maple 2. Screen grabbed image from the interweb 3. Brought into Inkscape and selected 'Trace Bitmap' 4. Exported SVG 5. Opened F360, imported SVG and scaled to fit on 3.5 x 8" piece of stock 6. Extruded within F360 7. Created 3 different toolpaths, 1/8 flat endmill trace for border, 1/8 ball endmill parallel for rough, 1/16 ball endmill for finish. 8. Exported G-code as 3 seperate program files 9. Ran the 1/8 flat endmill trace 10. Switched tool and re-zeroed 11. Ran the 1/8 ball parallel program 12. Switched tool and re-zeroed 13. Ran the 1/16 ball program. I am not sure what happened with the 'circle' behind the hungry boy because I stepped away for a moment. It looks like it was a helix ramp down but there is none in the file, nor should the flat endmill been in that area because it was only a 'trace' tool path cutting the perimeter in F360. Should there be a 'Look What The Newbie Did' section of the forum? Happy Thanksgiving! Mark

Yeah I hate that little extra circle marred it up a little but I'd say that's quite a good project. You are already taking advantage of the multiple tools at your disposal from a software perspective. That's gonna make you a really well-rounded operator. Nice work.

I am taking a very detailed approach to process flow and will work on making cool, relevant carvings later. (engineer brain, I cant help it ) Thanks! Mark

I've had so much fun working with inkscape and F-Engrave I haven't even tried working with F360 yet.
