So I ended up using my Carve King to make and sell personalized snowflakes. Now that the season is over, I would love to get some tips on improving my workflow. Material: 1/4” Birch plywood Cutout Bit: 1/8” Ball nose - 100IPM/.0625 per pass V Carve Bit: 1/8” 30 Degree V Bit - 50IPM I ended up V carving first and then doing the cutout. The final piece ended up requiring a lot of sanding as the edges had a ton of fuzzies. How could I reduce or eliminate them? Compression bit? I tried a separate last pass but still had the issue. Thankyou! -Jason

Looks pretty good to me. Is the picture after the sanding? Maybe a downcut type bit would help?

I also agree that a downcut would help a lot. Birch does like to tear out. I would not think you could get the proper single pass depth to use a compression cutte.

I think you'll be pleased with how they do.
