First couple of cuts with the machine have been great, but there is way too much dust! On top of that, I have 2 cats that love to play with wires. To help contain everything, I built the pictured case with removable sides and pictured vacuum hose attachment. It's not the prettiest, but my last cut was much cleaner. I also made a little stand for the fan so that it wouldn't fall over, and have a plywood top to keep the cats out between uses. I have 3D files of everything, but you may be better off designing your own. The fan mount was a little tight in width, the vacuum hose mount gets in the way when you change mills (I will probably make another attachment that is less obtrusive), the vacuum mount also only fits a spindle mount that I found on Ebay, and the case is probably too large for most people's liking. Just thought I'd share to inspire others!

Nice work! The cat thing is funny to me. LOL
That does look like it's going to control some dust! Excellent job on the dust shoe! Care to post the the files on thingiverse or something similar?

Speaking of Dust, I'm trying to come up with something easily adaptable to various spindles and is highly effective with minimal impact to function and form. Go to this link and tell me what you all think. a360.co/2hECYyE the password is VACV1 all caps. Let me know what you all think. This particular one was designed for my Makita with a 65mm diameter. The reason for the .5 inch bottom straight is to add brush material if one would want to around the perimeter. Attachment Deleted

Very cool. As soon as I either buy or find someone to 3D print I may do them both and have a dust collector shootout. Lol

Hey Dave and Aforww, those are both great designs. Anyone who has ever fired up their mill without dust collection is certainly going to have a real appreciation for what you have done.

Thanks for uploading that.
Aforww: I've got to check yours out. I might print both of those if I can find the time (where does it go).

Thanks for providing your plans online. A friend of mine modified it to be 4 different pieces and then made me one.
