I've looked at dust shoes, I've looked at enclosures and I don't like either of those options for obvious reasons. So what I've come up with is the perfect solution.
I hired a temp worker to stand by my machine and hold the vacuum hose right next to the end mill as it's cutting. When the cut is finished he/she will vacuum up any bits that got away, turn off the vacuum, put it away, and then they go stand in the corner until I'm ready to make the next cut.
Aside from the mandatory 10 minute break every 2 hours and restroom and lunch breaks, it's really a perfect solution, albeit a bit pricey.
But at least I can see the bit as it's cutting and my machine isn't inside a enclosure so I have complete access to all sides of it.

I kind of liked this enclosure with plexiglass all around. Or maybe a robot might be the ultimate sweeper upper !?

I have a absolutely extreme and crazy idea, but I haven't talked myself out of it yet so......
I'nm seriously contemplating cutting a M-3 sized hole in my wall, installing a heavy duty drawer, and sitting the M-3 on that, so I can pull it completely into my nice, clean, cool office to setup jobs, etc. But when it's time to make chips, I can push it through the wall, out into the shop, and let it be loud and dusty out there! (I'd add some vacuum and fans, but nothing as extensive as I'd need to if the M-3 were to stay inside my office.)
My only concern is the length of the various wires needed to allow it that much travel.
You guys may laugh, and I may never do it, but I have the space, and no one to answer to, so the only thing stopping me is me!

There are a few guys that hang around Home Depot that need a gig - you have a great idea there!
