I have an odd UGS Platform issue I was wondering if any of you had experienced.
The issue is it will not run G-code from Vectric Aspire but runs G-code from Fusion 360 just fine.
Further more, I tested the same Vectric file with UGS v 1.0.9 and it runs fine, I also tested the Vectric file with the Windows version of UGS Platform and it runs fine! But the Mac version of UGS Platform throws this error code every time.
“An error was detected while sending ‘G0X2.3878Y-7.0211.0000’: (error: 1) G-code words consist of a letter and a value. Letter was not found. Streaming has been paused.”
The line of G-code that it’s referencing is this one: G0X2.3878Y-7.0211Z5.0000 As you can see, the text on that line and the text referenced in the error message differ only in that the error message has removed the “Z5” before the “.0000”
I’m guessing that the “Z” is the letter that it says is missing, yet there it is in the G-code! And again, UGS v1.0.9 and the Windows version of UGS Platform both run the G-code just fine.
Also, I tried both the UGS Platform nightly builds and the stable one, same results.
Any thoughts as to what’s going on?

Yeah, um, never mind. Seems I had clicked OK to several errors in the past and unbeknownst to me, UGS adds those decisions to a database and uses it to filter future G-code. I opened preferences, UGS>Controller Options and cleared out all the additions at the bottom and then the code ran OK.

Yup.... glad you got it. That's the expression remover that you're talking about. It's meant to ignore things like tool change commands but sometimes it bites you.
